According to my eye doctor, mood can have a stong effect on eyesight. The first time I went to get glasses I described to the doctor that one day I suddenly realized I couldn't read the phone book. He said, "Were you upset that day, depressed, anxious?" It just so happened I had been. (I still needed glasses, but my eyes tested MUCH better than that bad day would have suggested.)
