I have what they call focal Seizures. I was put on a drug called trileptal. I then had brain surgery to remove a tumor (oligodendroglioma). I was doing well on the trileptal until zits started to form on my shoulders & chest. I was taken off that & put on depakote and 6 days later woke up in the hospital. I had a seizure that would not stop. They then put me on phenytoin & phenobarbital this was working well until another doctor put me on zonegran in the hopes of taking me off the phenobarbital, I had more problems. Now I am still taking phenytoin & phenobarbital but having seizures again. Now I am going back to trileptal all because now they think the zits were do to the fact that I was also on a steroid called dexamethasone. I would not bother but do to surgery i am weak on one side. I go to therapy to build it up but after each seizure it takes me back a few steps.
What would you do?
