Is Zyprexa good for unipolar? Yes. For everyone? Well, like everything else, no.

It's worth noting though that most clinical trials using Zyprexa for various psychiatric conditions utilized combinations. For example, many patients failed to respond adequately to Prozac. They also failed to respond adequately to Zyprexa. But they had full response to the combination. Combinations of Zyprexa with other SSRIs is also impressive, though for some strange reason Prozac seems the most impressive.

So yes, Zyprexa is good for unipolar depression, as well as melancholic depression, cycling, anhedonia, treatment resistant depression, etc. If it alone is not doing the trick, try adding Prozac, other SSRIs, Adrafinil, or Amisulpride to it. Or any combination of those. Stimulants are helpful enough with Zyprexa to deserve mention as well. I think your best bets are with a combination such as Zyprexa+Prozac for starters.

Hope something here is helpful. Hang in there!
John
