This reply is a few months behind but for what it's worth, I'm experiencing almost exactly what you describe. I took 20mg of Paxil for about a week before quitting and I've had this terrible pressure in my head ever since (about 3 weeks so far). The pressure is constant but is never focused on an particular region. I feel as if I've concentrated on something totally uninteresting for far too long. I've been on and off of Zoloft for several years but I never had any withdrawl symptoms from it. A few months ago one of the night time news shows did a story on Paxil and the severe withdrawl symptoms some peolpe have from it. Apparently it leaves the body much faster than other SSRIs and that is part of what make the withdrawl so bad. I didn't realize until I read your message that Paxil withdrawl was likely causing my pain.

I went to the Paxil web site and couldn't find any information on side effects related to Paxil withdrawl so I did a search at "Mamma" http://www.mamma.com/Mamma?p1=&timeout=2&query=Paxil+withdrawl+symptoms&qtype=0&x=9&y=12

and "Google" http://www.google.com/search?q=Paxil+withdrawl
If these URL's expire you can just go to any search engine and type in "Paxil withdrawl". This must be a very common problem judging by the number of accurate results that the searches brought up.

> Has anyone experienced extreme pressure in your head, that is almost constant and doesn't go away? Does this pressure seem to coincide with using SSRI's for anyone? I have had this for months now. It goes from extreme, like my head is going to explode, or when you are upside down and all of the blood rushes to your head, to just mild or more localized in the forehead. I have seen the doctor, and we initially thought the medication I was taking- Paxil - was causing it. Or he said it could just be a tension headache. But now I am off the Paxil ( using Prozac for a week and a half to ease the withdrawl), and it's been about two weeks and the pressure is bad as ever! It feels like something worse than just a simple tension headache. If anyone has some input it would be greatly appreciated.
