> Hi Ashley,

I believe most SSRI's are considered safe in pregnancy; when I was pregnant on risperdal (also an atypical AP), my pdoc told me it was a classified as a C, which basically means if the positives outweigh the negatives... If you become psychotic while pregnant, that is a lot worse for the baby then taking the medication. Physically it feels a lot better to taper Zyprexa than suddenly stop. Most ob/gyn's don't want their patients on any meds in the first trimester, but most shrinks will help you make an informed decision. I wish you all the best- Judy

Hi Judy
Thanks for the answer? I don't mean to pry but, did your baby have problems due to medication? It scares me so much to give birth to an unhealthy baby
