Smitty - What does the bottle say the tablets are? In Canada, Xanax™ 2mg (alprazolam) say "Xanax" on one side and have a large 2 on the other. They are bar-shaped and can be split into four pieces. Are your tablets the 2mg strength?
If in doubt, phone your pharmacy and ask them to describe the Xanax generic thay use. Better to be safe than sorry.
