Crissy

I took a pretty heavy dose of Remeron for about 5 months and then switched to Luvox. I still call it "demon" Remeron. Like you, it made me really dopey during the day, I would actually doze off sitting at my desk at work. And ironically I couldn't sleep at night. Just before I switched, I was lucky to get two hours of sleep a night. I also had a lot of trouble with itching under my skin at night which was part of the reason I couldn't sleep. I also had periods of "electric head" even when at full dosage with Remeron, as Abbi calls it...see the thread on Luvox withdrawal.

I was really reluctant to switch to Luvox in spite of the problems just because Remeron was helping a lot with my depression and impulsivity, but I'm thankful my counselor finally persuaded me to get off Remeron and try something else. I didn't realize just how bad it was making me feel till I got off it.

Good luck and God bless.

Regards
