Maybe that is why I read the posts about Celexa and weight gain; they may have been on another SSRI before. I will say my girlfriend who is 45 years old and on Prozac 11 years has not gained an ounce. I hope the Celexa works well for you in every way. I did not mean to be negative. I was lumping 'all docs'. I have a good one too.

He told me no weight effect with Neurontin. He said slight weight loss with Celexa, but weight gain with the older SSRIs -- Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, etc. -- with Paxil being the worst offender. He has never steered me wrong before. Plus, he has other patients who use Celexa and hasn't seen a problem with them.
