Hi Scott,
I'm shocked I uncovered a drug before you ;-). Anyway, I'm sure I do the same things as you- monitor the NIH drug trials, enlist in 'trial' clinics- there are tons in so. Cal and they call me all the time. This particular one came about because I used to work for a major pharmaceutical co. as a research scientist and still have some connections. I'll try to be more aware of the novel AD's in the pipeline- since I can't take them I don't pay much attention, but I promise to post if I hear or read something new. As an aside, you sound a lot like me in choosing meds. Did that happen because you are treatment resistant? How does your pdoc feel about it? Mine said he feels about 75% of his patients are noncompliant with meds so he tries to be really open so they feel comfortable enough to be honest. I've found the vast majority of shrinks react in anger when I say I want to try something different, whether it's a med or dose change. Has that been your experience? Take care, Judy
