Hi Mist (great name!),

I think women tend to gain weight more easily on meds that affect female hormones, such as prolactin. This would include antipsychotics. I've noticed the same trend with some other meds, but since there are many reasons why a med can cause weight gain...who knows. Interestingly, I don't know of any med offhand that tends to cause more weight gain for males than females.

It just occurred to me that the only people I recall mentioning that they had the side effect of weight gain from ADs were women. Do more women than men get this side effect?
