Tracy, before I could get into graduate school, I had psychological testing, and also had testing while in therapy, during graduate school. There are many types of tests and reasons for testing. These include personality assessment, diagnostic clarification, examining someone for organic impairment or psychosis, etc. The testing is usually quite painless (I kind of enjoyed it which is why I went into psychology, to understand myself and others better and "help" people). What kind of testing are you referring to?
