I just started effexor xr 5 days ago and feel that groggy /not motivated to do anything feeling during the day. Started at 37.5mg. Increased today to 75mg. Am weaning off paxil. I do find effexor makes me drowsy at night. Per a pharmacist the peak time is ~5 hours and the 1/2 life 10-11 hours. I'm hoping if I take it at 5pm I'll be sleepy at 10pm and it will be starting to werar out of my system by 5am.
