Hi Ed,

Nardil was the only drug I had a significantly good response to, until the side effects and diminished effectiveness after 3+ years made me stop it. I too have tried almost everything out there, including Parnate. I have atypical depression. What I have found helpful so far:
1. St. John's Wort, 1500mg/day
2. Lamictal, 100mg/day (mood stabilizer and antidepressant)
3. Zoloft, 100mg/day

I think nardil may have worked for me because it increased GABA and dopamine more than most other ADs. Zoloft and SJW increase dopamine as well as serotonin, and lamictal can increase GABA (it's a glutamate antagonist).
I've had a poor response to noradrenaline meds. I think amisulpride is worth a shot, tho it stopped working for me after a few weeks.

good luck,
anita
