Products List of the National Security Council. Only Unix and flavors get the high ratings. Unix has been around far longer and the crackers have been attacking it for decades longer. Also keep in mind a real firewall in not "Blackice" or other softwear, these only look at the network layer while a real firewall (costing thousands of dollars) looks all the way down to the application
layer of the packet. Hackers can now scan behind some firewalls. If you were to subscribe to "Bugtrack" you would find that holes are discovered everyday in every OS. There is no such thing as a true secure site. My job is network admin, I spend some time each day dealing with hackers. All big time servers on the net are running a Unix like OS for security and many other reasons. MS is fine for desktops, I am using
it now.
