I have suffered with depression since childhood and only the last five years have I been diagnosed with a chemical inbalance and anxiety. I would appreciate any encouragement on effexor. Thank you,

> Terry, I wish I could have nightmares! My sleep is really disturbed right now, and I have always enjoyed dreaming (even nightmares) because my dreams are in color, I can change their outcomes (I have "lucid dreams" and if I don't like what's happening, I can change it while I'm dreaming), and it's better than TV. Unfortunately, I hardly ever remember my dreams, because my sleep is so interrupted now. Hang in there! Hope Effexor-XR works for you (it works great for me except for the interference with sleep).

I have been on 75 mg of effexor for 2 days now, and I am feeling so good. Its like a new door opened up for me. Thanks for all of your support it has meant so much to me. The nightmares have quit and I am sleeping really well. I hope it last. thanks again. Terry
