In reply to need help: unable to recognize manic state, posted by judy1 on May 5, 2000, at 13:20:51
Hi Judy- Sorry to hear of your current troubles, and no need to apologize. I'll just give some general advice, since I'm not bi-polar. I think you've come to an important realization, one that takes many of us a long time to come to - namely that this is serious stuff.
Since you titled your post "unable to recognize manic state", I know there are people on this board who can help you, but have you checked out Dr.Bobs mental health links, a lot of info there, also do a search on the web.
If your looking for info on medications, can you give specific info on what you've tried before, are taking now, etc.
There are many knowledgable people on this board who will post after me with specific info on both meds and manic-dep experience, epecially the early signs.
