Withdrawal difficulties are not uncommon. I think Paxil and Effexor are the worst in this regard. One strategy that can help is to take just a few doses of Prozac. It will allow a smooth taper down and diminish withdrawals. For example, take 10mg a day for two or three days, then skip two or three days, take another dose, and that should be it. There will likely still be some withdrawals, but much smoother and less bothersome. Your doctor may have samples of Prozac in the office. A simple phone call and you might be able to pick some up for free. All you need is three or four doses. JohnL
