Hi Amanda,

Did you visit the website, suggested by Jen in your other post re:ADD or Bipolar?

I don't know, Amanda, but from your posts and what you have written, it sounds very familiar to me (previous Bipolar II diagnoses but most likely ADD hypoactive with resulting depression). That's my call but I am not your (or anybody's) doctor.

Just a few questions (possibly indicative of ADD - my experience): Do you ever have a face to face conversation with someone and suddenly realize that you "left" the conversation mentally - that you have been somewhere else for a couple of minutes and have NO idea what they said or even the current topic? This happens to me ALL THE TIME. Do you ever try to leave your house and just can't seem to get it together enough to leave? Like every room you walk in, something needs to be done and there you go, spinning from one task to another, forgetting what you were doing all along the way - or that your original intention was to get ready to go somewhere? Do you read books...or just articles and short pieces because you don't have the attention span? Did you get in trouble (especially early on) in school for daydreaming or just not paying attention? Do you lose your temper sometimes because you are just completely overwhelmed by stimulous and reach a frenzied point of being unable to function? Are you exceptionally groggy and find it difficult to get out of bed in the morning?

Try not to assess how you are feeling ALL THE TIME. This, in itself can get me going in the wrong direction (I'm guilty).

Wishing you the best.

Karen
