Amanda - Clonazepam can cause seizures, but usually in people who are susceptible to them. Questions you have to ask yourself are: 1) "What other drugs are they taking (legal & illegal)?" (Many drugs like the oldtime antipsychotics - Chlopromazine, Mellaril, etc. - lower seizure threshold. If one is taking these and Clonazepam, yes a seizure is possible). 2) "Were these people genetically prone to seizures?" (Is there a history of seizures in the family). 3) "How fast did they drop the Clonazepam dose?" (If stopped cold turkey, yes, Clonazepam can cause seizures, but this is not common).
