Amanda - Clonazepam can cause seizures, but usually in people who are susceptible to them. Questions you have to ask yourself are: 1) "What other drugs are they taking (legal & illegal)?" (Many drugs like the oldtime antipsychotics - Chlopromazine, Mellaril, etc. - lower seizure threshold. If one is taking these and Clonazepam, yes a seizure is possible). 2) "Were these people genetically prone to seizures?" (Is there a history of seizures in the family). 3) "How fast did they drop the Clonazepam dose?" (If stopped cold turkey, yes, Clonazepam can cause seizures, but this is not common).Please see my post above regarding other concerns - Cam W.
