Not exactly. Clonazepam seems to have the easiest withdrawal pattern for some of us(maybe 36 hours of mild jitteriness), and so doctors sometimes prescribe it to help people get off of the fiercely addictive 'pines like Ativan and Xanax. But I'd still taper during the switch to avoid the intense nausea and swirling-room effects. How much Xanax do you take daily, and how long does it take for withdrawal symptoms to come on?

Clonazepam can be a godsend, and mild, mild, mild side effects.
