Yes, in the so-called "atypical" type depression, moods can vary, although it isn't clear that this is what is happening here. As for PTSD, it presents in so many different ways--I think variation in mood is definitely possible.

How long have you been on Prozac? Does your doc know you lowered your dose?

I think it might help to keep track of your moods. That way, as jd suggests, if you are having a hypomanic type switch with the prozac, you can have some idea of how your moods have varied.
