Dear Anyone Who Has Any Experience,

I have been prescribed Celexa two days ago, and I happen to be having severe migraines (yes - plural) these past two days. I'm wondering: my shrink did not mention this as a potential side effect. Can anyone substantiate, with references to a medical site for Celexa, like, you know, with "Most Common Side Effects" kind of stuff - whether migraines is a potential major or minor side effect of Celexa. Because if it is, I'll look forward to chucking them over my balcony. Like many of you, I've been on and off these kinds of pills for years, and, much to my chegrin, I'm still not the big Hollywood star I dreamed I'd be when I was 16. Not to mention the fact that one's work ethic (at least, mine) seems to suffer with all these "sleepy" meds (leading to crappier jobs and greater depression). So - that's my "thing". Please reply ASAP. Thank you. Dar.

The usual initial dose is 75 mg, to titrate in, with 150 mg being the therapeutic dose, up to 300 if 150 doesn't work. I am taking 150 mg. of Wellbutrin-SR, the sustained-release version, and 20 mg. of Celexa, both of them in the morning. I have felt no sleepiness at all, in fact, this past weekend I wound up foregoing my usual afternoon
> nap, because I didn't feel sleepy. I have had a bit of insomnia at night, trouble falling asleep, but it hasn't made me feel sleepier during the day.Even when I need an extra hour to fall asleep, I have actually been waking up a few minutes AHEAD of my alarm clock most mornings for the past week - unheard of in all my previous experience. (Over 20 years on various antidepressants...)
