Hi Abby.

When I saw your post, I figured I'd give you a bit of a head start. Vigabatrin is one of those newer anticonvulsant drugs that are supposed to have mood-stabilizing properties. You can think of it as being along the same lines as Neurontin (gabapentin). Seeing the name rang a bell with me regarding some rather important side-effect. I took a look on Medline just to make sure. Unfortunately, it seems that vigabatrin has been linked to a loss of peripheral vision, and it is not rare.
