Switch from BuSpar to Serzone require washout?

Posted by David Mirtzer on January 16, 2000, at 14:58:32

When switching from BuSpar (for anxiety, with no other meds) to Serzone, is a washout period required? If so, how long?

The reason I ask is that profiles of Serzone (as well comments I've seen on this board) say that it hugely increases plasma concentrations of BuSpar.

All of the "washout charts" I can find on the net are strictly for antidepressants, so, while Serzone is listed in the charts, BuSpar isn't.

Thanks in advance for any insights.
