I am starting to think that along with my depression that I might have social phobia as well (argghh!) So as we are all in search of the "perfect" cocktail, I am wondering about the drug neurontin. One of my pdocs (I have one at school and one at home) prescribed me to neurontin to take along with my prozac, which I was taking by itself because he told me that I had anxiety and depression. I never got that prescription filled and came home for the holidays and went to my other pdoc, who said that it was straight depression and gave me remeron.

I was wondering if I should fill my prescription for the neurontin and give that a try, but I was wondering if I can take it with these other meds? I have also heard that it can be sedating, would that add to the sedating effects of the Remeron? (I do not feel that I could be much more sedated!) Do any of you chemistry people out there know if this would work? Thanks ahead of time and Happy New Year!

Nuerontin works great for me. What I have read says it is helpful with social phobia and reduces anxiety. I would give it a shot!
