I know someone currently taking this combination (150 mg Wellbutrin SR and 75 mg Effexor XR). The combo seemed to do the trick. Neither drug by itself helped her to any great degree. Wellbutrin gave her more energy but no "wanna do's" while Effexor gave her some "wanna do's" but not enough energy to do them.

The effexor makes me so sleepy and lazy. Wellbutrin gave me more get up and go, but did nothing for my forgetfulness. I had to decrease my ADDerall from 30mg to 10 mg twice a day due to high bloodpressure when I started Effexor. I get mouth sores from Wellbutrin. The Wellbutrin causes a decrease in appetite for most people, and an increase in libido and sexual response. I'm soooo sad to say that the sexual benefits were a short lived side effect for me rather than a long term gain. Fun while it lasted...;)
