> i have ocd and complications of therapy. here's a question: where do i find the latest, even unpublished, info on psychiatry, including drug trials underway and the nitty gritty info that psychiatrists want to treat their patients. psychobabble is a wonderful site, but it represents personal experience, god bless it, for the most part. where on the net are the sites that the psychiatrists want to read for the very latest. merry xmas and peace to all who suffer.

Peter, if you haven't checked out Dr Bobs psychopharmacology 'tips' section, you will find it very helpful. Click on 'tips' at the top of the main page. Once there, go down the right hand side of the page and click on 'search' without typing anything in the search box. Then scan the zillions of topics where docs around the world have shared their tips and tricks. Even though this was put together some time ago, most of the information shared in it is cutting edge stuff that most doctors don't know about. Type in a specific word in the search box to narrow the search.

Another site that might be of interest is www.mentalhealth.com
Click on 'research'. Then choose either disorder research or medication research. It's pretty self explanatory once you get there. You will be able read abstracts of all scientific studies entered in literature. I've noticed some abstracts dated Nov 1999, so they are current. At your final destination page where you can actually click on the research topics, you can also erase your choice in the search box and type in whatever you want. I've been studying here a lot. Not for OCD. But for examples, I'll type in something like Bupropion AND melancholic, or Nortriptyline AND Bupropion AND combination, or melancholia....you can customize your search.

So check out Dr Bobs tips and also mentalhealth.com. They might not be exactly what you were looking for, but believe me, if you're looking for cutting edge tricks of the trade, you'll find them here. Wishing you well. JohnL
