Do people with experience with neurontin or other mood stabilizers have any input here? I am sort of afraid of Depakote since I work with a number of children who have had bad effects from it--but it apparently does not have to be dosed as much.
Lamictal is the latest mood stabilizer being used. I take it only twice a day - when I get up and before I go to bed. I used to be on Depakote and I'm sorry I ever was because not only didn't it work for me, I gained 30 pounds on it in just a few months. Lamictal is much better and I currently take 300 mg a day without any problems.
