My son has been taking adderall since 1994(we tried dexidrene in 96 but he was aggressive on it)
, and it has helped him with his ADD. But now he has been experiencing
depression for over a year. He has been on Paxil since Feb of 1999 and it helped
with his outbursts of anger (he also had some counseling which helped some).
But now with a high IQ he is failing everything in school and still has
some problems with depression. His anxiety level seems high, but has been getting somewhat
better, but is still there.taking now:
Adderall 2 x 20mg in morning (we have just started,last 2 weeks, downing the dose to 15mg on weekends but results haven't been good)
Paxil 1 x 20mg in evening
also taking for asthma Pulmicort(budesonide inhalation powder) Turbuhaler 200mcgIt's a vital time in his life to develop his self concept. I am concerned
and would welcome advice.
