Supplementing hormones to a normal hormone level impacts a lot more than the brain. The science of ADs is not well understood. The science of hormones even less. I think a blood test to check hormone levels prior to supplementation would be very prudent. If a hormone is in an abnormal range then treat it. Whether it helps mood would remain to be seen on a case by case basis.
