That's kinda the point for me. Dr. Bob has a very light touch, but that's because the people who contribute know this isn't the Gripevine or Steven King's House of Psychotropic Horrors. When I first went on meds, a few "unmoderated" boards I saw were nothing but complaints and accusations against doctors, drug companies, all the way up to the military-industrial complex.
I, too, appreciate hearing from friends and family who come here for advice, or maybe just a look inside at how a loved one feels when that person can't find the means of communicating it to someone too close. I also like hearing from the occassional pdoc out there who wants to hear something from us. It's very reassuring to know that you're out there.
I'll be so glad, Dr. B, when I'll have a chance to thank you in person at the Babblefest. I hope my fellow New Yorkers turn out to do the same.
