> Hi everyone, This drug has been wonderful for my ADD but I can feel myself becoming tolerant to it. For the first time in my life i have been able to make grocery lists, go grocery shopping, organize, clean and make meals. And this is great for my eating disorder, which when I do eat well is great for my depression and so on and so. Just being able to do these 'boring things' that i have struggled with my whole life has been great for my self esteem and consequently my depression. So I am very nervous about this tolerance I can feel building. I'm only taking 15mg a day but I'm worried that my tolerance level will keep building and building until Dexedrine does nothing for me anymore. Is this possible? Being extremely sensitive to a medication initially, and then quickly building a tolerance for it has been my typical reaction to many medications. Does anyone know of any other ways to help with ADD (anti-depressants don't seem to work for me... well not yet anyway)? Thanks in advance for your responses. Janice

You're not becoming "tolerant," dear ... you're becoming ADDICTED.

You can gradually increase the dose to 60mgs a day, but, I fear, the sound
of grass growing at night might keep you awake.

You could try other stimulants such as Biphetamine or Desoxyn, but
it all comes down to the same thing; i.e., the need for greater amounts
to get the job done.

Next you'll be scoring methamphetamine on the street and shooting up ...
and your epitaph could read "SPEED KILLS"!

Take a drug holiday (don't use anything for a couple of days), to "reset"
your body to the standard 15mgs/day.
