Reboxetine (Edronax) for Social Anxiety Disorder??

Posted by samantha on September 30, 1999, at 12:18:38

Hi,

Do any of you know anything about Edronax being marketed for social anxiety disorder. I have pretty severe social phobia. I'd like to get away from the benzodiazepines, but the ssri's and others seem cause too many negative side effects - at least for me.

I've also heard of reboxetine being used in conjuction with the MAOI's - such as Phenelzine. Although its supposed to reduce the chance for hypertensive crisis resulting from tyramine (the so-called "cheese effect"), does it have any other benefit? Such as, alleviating sexual dysfunction and weight gain?
