> Does anyone know if it is okay to drink an occasional mixed drink with Celexa? Pharmacist said it was okay that it might just make me more sleepy, just wondering if any of you had any experiences with it? Also, I started on Celexa 3 weeks ago, on day 3 of taking it I got a sore throat, fever, went away after 3 days called pharmacist and he said not to worry probably just a bug going around, but the other day while looking over side effect list it said if you have fever call doctor immediatly, well I didn't but it has not come back actually doing pretty good on it, just a little insomnia and tiredness doing the day, anyone with any input!!! Also would like to hear how others are doing on Celexa, Thanks Ann

Hey Ann!

I drink while taking Celexa and I haven't noticed any difference. Moderation in all things naturally but I've heard other people mention concern. The theory was that a lot of depressed/anxious people develop alcoholism so the drug companies are better safe than sorry to say it isn't good to do. You have to go with how YOU feel.

Celexa has done wonders for my PD. I am also weaning from Xanax, so I don't feel like I really "know" completely what its like. I was very ill for the first few days and I still experience some digestion ills (gas) but nothing that comes close to the discomfort of a Panic Attack so I'll live with it. There's been a general improvement in all facets of my life because I don't worry about attacks. That's the priority.

I hope you get a lot of responses. Good luck. D.Clark
