Yes i have had lots of help from cognitive therapy. I still have to take paxil but i find that i can often use the methods to stop me becoming more depressed. I find it alot more useful than a pyschiatrist analysing you and listening to your story and telling you nothing that you dont already know. How can they charge so much to sit there and say nothing for so long!
Seriously I am sure there are sone fantastci pshycs out there and they have a very important role to play in prescribing medications. I just havent met hte right one yet. So yes, cognitive therapy is extremely helpful. I hope you get a lot out of it.
