Celexa-Is There Hope After Stupid Action

Posted by Jim on June 7, 1999, at 17:26:57

I'm a 49 year old male that when into depression in
January, 1999 due to failing health of mother and my mid
life crisis. Tried SJW until March which did nothing.
Went on Celexa in mid March gradually working up from
10mg to 40mg over three weeks. By the end of April I
began to feel great-no worries with a lot to look
forward to. Felt so good that I did A VERY STUPID
THING, I slowly weaned off of Celexa from 40 to 30
to 20 to 10 over three weeks. Of course then the depression
came back!

I have been trying since May 4th to get back where I was. I have
improved but am not to the wonderful place yet. I've been
on 40mg since May 4th.

Anybody out there ever do this before. Doc says it was
STUPID but that I should get back without a problem.
Can anybody cite experience! Thanks
