Personnally I don't agree with the thought that 'talk therapy is usually ineffective' in the treatment of bipolar disorder. I've turned to my doc for the meds, but it is my therapist who has, and is, getting me through the ups and downs. Talk therapy is also helpful to identify possible triggers and to deal with 'life' issues.

If it weren't for my therapist there is no question that I wouldn't be here typing this.
