Dear James:

For someone so knowledgeable about meds, I was disturbed and insulted by your reply, "why didn't you switch earlier if they were that bad?"
The questions implies that:
1) I had a choice at the time, and
2) That I was aware enough to know that any better could exist.
If a person had been blind all their life, how could they understand the color of the sky based on their experience?? I am glad for you that you can be aware enough and able at the time you are in your illness and while the meds aren't working for you, to assess your situation FOR YOURSELF.
My question today and the question more appropriate is why didn't the doctor with whom I shared my experiences with Effexor switch me earlier?
Bye the way, I am happy that Effexor works for you. My only motive in this thread was to share me experience so that someone who had been in my position could relate and perhaps ask their doctor the questions my doctor had failed to answer or act upon.
Oh yea, and out of curiosity are you a doctor?
