The CNS side-effects are the primary reason for taking the prescription meds (whether it's a decongestant or for allergy). A life-long desire for the "up" feeling has had me taking some strange things. and it's funny how doctor's and drug reps will give you boxes and boxes of the stuff. Honestly, I am thankful that the old "diet pills" with amphetemine are not distributed like these new "designer" drugs. And yes, sometimes I get a written prescription and the cost is high--both financially and emotionally.
