I'm sorry to hear that there are others in a similar plight, LT, but I'm glad you said something about it here. I can tell you something that helped me tremendously: the local Depressive/Manic Depressive Association group. You can find out if they have a group near you by checking out their website, which I think is www.ndmda.org, but I could be wrong. THis is a patient group, not a therapy group, but I've found that it helps to talk and listen in a group that understands if you burst into tears at every other sentence. The support I've received there is overwhelming, and gave me the impetus I needed to force my doctor to discuss changing my medication. I'm only a day or two into the new drug, but feel better already. Please look to see if you have such a group near you. It really did help me, because I remembered in the group that I used to feel good, I could feel good again, and that I really *could* fight for my own health. Now let's hope that the new drug is more effective than the last.
There's also a similarly named group, I think it's the Manic Depressive/Depressive Association, and if one isn't available near you, the other may be.
And don't give up on relief, with so many options out there, some combination that you haven't tried yet may give you the relief you need.
Good luck.
