Prozac begets rapid-cycling

I was only depressed before I started on Prozac without a mood stabilizer. The doc should have known better than to strictly place me on Prozac. In the past, I've had episodes where I don't even shut my eyes for a couple of months or more at a time. Never tired. Trained at the gym twice a day, worked full time, did my pre-med physician rounds part-time, and still had time to dig up research material for my physician mentors. So, I haven't a clue as to why this doctor would place me on an AD without mood stabilizing coverage! It was because of this foolish act that I've suffered from ultra-rapid cycling (extreme swings several times a day). I was on a God-like high then would crash into a deeply suicidal planning episode. Bad combination when you drive a '93 convertible Corvette and own a 9mm semi-automatic.
A word to the wise. Do your research first, then see a good doctor. Don't take some drug just because the man has a liscense to push pills!
Happy New Year All,
P.S. My last suicide attempt was New Year's Eve. I was comatose for two days. I can manage the mood swings, some depression, some sleepless nights but, I CAN'T HANDLE THE PAIN! When will it ever end?!
