Just wanted to add another point. The DSM has a name for everything. If Bipolar, there is "mixed" bipolar which is basically being depressed and manic at the same time. Sounds like an oxymoron, but it really does make sense. But who knows your "diagnosis" - one thing is for sure - if you get VERY paranoid, or hear any voices, tell your Doc immediatelly - and this, although not quite cheerfully, will warrant a clearer diagnosis. The rule of thumb is to rule things out. Then at least you are left with something that is consistent...
